Teesside University is a public university with its main campus in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire in North East England. It was officially opened as Constantine Technical College in 1930, before becoming a polytechnic in 1969, and finally granted university status in 1992 by the Privy Council.
Living close to Teesside University I see it multiple times a day. I've watched it grow and expand for the past 35 years. When I was a child it was the the polytechnic it gone from stegnth to strgnth.
it's one of the best university experience that I had till now. trust me guys, Teesside University has got so much to offer that it would probably take more than a lifetime to explore and utilize the full potential that the university has. I am overwhelmed with the people over here. specially the library, which is one of the best in UK. Here are few pics of the library.
also, I am from computer science background, so that's why, I can say about the CS faculty in this university.
trust me, it couldn't have been more better in any manner.
The joke is that their website promises Adobe access for students, but after enrolling, there's zero support. It's a waste of money and time, leaving students without online resources, setting them up for failure.

Im posting for the benefit for all current and future students.
I have been a student here for almost 10 years. I have witnessed the decline of the quality of education at this university. It is ran more like a business. The sole focus of this university is to generate as much revenue as it can through students fees (international or national).
The area itself is derelict. 3rd worst in the entire country for destitution which should be alarming for every councilor for Middlesbrough.
No jobs in the area. So why get yourself in serious DEBT for a degree from "teesside university" which no one has ever heard of (and im a local and seen the decline here).
This isn't just my opinion, its a fact. I have spoken to many other students outside of the university grounds and there is a common consensus that the fundamental principles of education are not evident. Whats the point if everyone gets a 1st class degree. Where is the exam and coursework regulation... Hence why I say universities used to be for the bright % of students for the top or reasonable top jobs. But now its any average students getting the same qualification, fast forward 5 years..lots of waitors, amazon workers and taxi drivers post graduation... But who wins, its the University!
A first-class institution that is always pushing forward to offer both students and staff world class facilities. Has invested massively in new buildings in Middlesbrough, turning the Southfield Rd area into a welcoming, pedestrianised, environment which looks amazing!
